Reagan Library

Over President's weekend we took Will and Jocelyn to the Reagan Library. What an amazing day! Here are some of the highlights...

Will's 8th Bday and Jocelyn's 1st Softball Game

We had a very busy week here! First we celebrated Will's birthday...

Here he is with his chocolate cake (Reagan's favorite), and what do you when you forget to buy candles? You use your old 5 and 3 candles and add a plus sign. I know, clever!

Meredith gave us all her old teaching supplies for U.S. history so he came home to a fully decorated room. He was so excited! He has everything from a poster on "How we Elect Our President" to a framed copy of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence (Thanks Granny).

Next week we will be going to the Reagan Library.(pictures soon)

Now on to Jocelyn's first Softball game. She is on the San Diego Aztecs and she did a great job!

Here she is getting ready to bat. Uncle Jason & Emma came over earlier in the day to help her with her batting and it paid off!

This Week

Well this week Jocelyn turned 6! (pictures soon to come) We survived a bout of the flu and got a free playhouse for the backyard that the kids are very excited about.

Current happenings:

Bill - getting back to reality after his trip to Mexico
Jami - starting a new blog and still reading "Rooms"
Will - reading "Decision Points" by George W. Bush now that he completed authoring his first book about Tom & Jerry
Jocelyn - in the middle of a birthday slumber party with her friend Jaiden
Nathan - driving me absolutely crazy! I may start looking into boarding schools! ;)
Charlotte - crying, unless of course I'm holding her

Mexico 2011

Bill returned safely from his second trip to mexico to build houses. Thank you all so much for your prayers and financial support. The team was successfully able to build three homes. Bill worked on a house for a family of three. The Father is a mechanic who earns $80 a month and they were very excited to get their new digs. He also was able to go visit the family who house he built last year and that was a big highlight for him.  He's threatening to take me next year, I'll keep you posted.

A New Year

Ok, I know....I haven't posted anything in a year. Wow that flew by! We had an amazing year complete with the birth of our beautiful Charlotte. What a joy she is. We are looking forward to all the new adventures to come in 2011. One of my goals for the year is to keep up on this blog so you all know what we are up to. Happy New Year!

Bill finished he new stairs for the fire pit and they are perfect! They look just right with the backyard firepit and wall that he built brick by brick. We have already enjoyed many fires in the yard already and I look forward to many more!
